What to Wear for the 4th of July

partay

The 4th of July is one of our favorite holidays here at YSTR… because though celebrating America’s independence is important and all, IT’S OUR ANNIVERSARY! And this year, the day is extra special because it’s our very first! Get the party poppers ready people. This is serious business.

But. Getting slightly tipsy at 1pm (and not feeling guilty about it) and grilling delicious food to fulfill food baby status aside, we’re all about ethical fashion. So, this 4th of July we want you to show pride for your country by helping us to take care of the planet!

After all, there is no Planet B. Am I right? Or am I right?

There are three types of people when it comes to the 4th of July: The plain Jane, the over planner, and those of you who, too many times, realize “OMG I have 5 minutes to get dressed!”. Lucky for you, our transeasonal pieces can be styled no matter what type of person you deem yourself to be. You are so, so welcome my friend.

We teamed up with the beautiful Ree from Ree on The Run to create a couple quick looks for the occasion.

Like, The Basic Look

If you’re basic, that’s okay, embrace it! You do you, boo boo. Sometimes, in life, you gotta be a little basic. But you don’t have to be wasteful to be basic. Our Harper Cami is the perfect way to look great without putting in any effort at all. Style her with some denim shorts and sneakers, and you’re ready to go. Oh, and did we mention how buttery soft and lightweight this fabric is? No pit stains, thank you very much.

For an added 4th of July touch, Ree ties two bandanas together to create a patriotic belt. So easy and totally approved by Ethical Uncle Sam.

If you prepped early and bought our June Capsule, congrats. Cause Harley is your gal for the 4th. Throw on her B.F.F. Seraphine or any other color appropriate tops in our collection for a put-together and on trend look. Ree suggests adding a pop of color with a red bandana, and you’re set to own that 4th of July BBQ.

Aahhhh! I have 5 minutes to get dressed!

Simple look.jpg

For those of you who are just realizing that July is around the corner, a simple one & done romper or overall and bralette will do! If you were lucky enough to get your hands on one of four June capsules last month, Lilou & Harley make dressing for this Fourth of July a no-brainer. Fake it ’til you make it and rock a one-piece look all the way to the fireworks; no one will know you were caught off guard.
